Recommendation:

If you require a high-performance engine for heavy-duty applications and are willing to invest in a more expensive but reliable option, the 1835E engine could be a good fit. However, it's crucial to consider the potential drawbacks and ensure that the engine's advantages outweigh its disadvantages for your specific situation. If cost or emissions compliance are major concerns, you may want to explore other engine options that may be more suitable for your needs.

Details:

Also, there is wear on the bottom of the frame from the ponies rub the frame as expected. Plus it is a great running engine and runs great and the unit worked perfectly.

The tender shell is very close to being straight and there is not issues from it cracking in the future. The paint everywhere else is ex Ln. The 310 paint is also very clean also. The 309 has a few nicks here and there with the worst on one of the corner's edge.

The lights also work.

The worst scratch is located below the left window from the end and the worst nick paint lost is located above the second window from the left. Very nice and very rare set from 1935 featuring the rare dark Blue roof cars.

The cars are the rare dark Blue cars from 1935 or so. The 312 is about ex also, with a few scattered here and there. It does have a few nicks where there is the normal wear is for the engine, at the front and ends.

Unfortunately, it does have some issues from the casting where the mettle push out. Also, someone decided to remove the whistle.

Just a beautiful engine. The one desires the proper shipping and I will take the extra steps to make sure you can drop the box from six feet and nothing will break without worrying. I do have a whistle that I can install if you want with a counter offer. The are some nicks for the couplets on the back end from the cars and some nicks from the engine on the front end.

Also, there is a inch long scratch on the roof. Overall the paint is very clean on all the cars.

There is paint lost on the steam chest and the boiler clips in missing I do have a retro if interested. The paint on the engine is gorgeous and original. John RCA member.

The paint on the shell is a beautiful black satin.
